Exhibition Day \ˆ—ˆ/!!!

It was an exhibition day today!!!!

We did the exhibition from 8:45 ~ 10:15, and 10:30 ~ 12:15. At first, There were no audience and I felt a little sad. But then, Mr. Brown came, and I showed him my presentation! He asked some questions to me, and went to another place. Suddenly, I felt happy because he said he liked my work. After that, Mr. Campbell listened to my presentation, and my process. He asked me about 10 questions. I think it is because he is an english teacher of Middle/High school...

After snack time, I saw people from K – International School, and my friend came to me. I explained and presented to him (Haruto) and he said to me, you are good. Also, when I finish presenting to 4th graders, I advised them that exhibition is hard and fun. When the exhibition was done, I thought that time flies by.

To summarize, I appreciate to people who watched my presentation, Grade five teachers, Mentors, and People who helped me with my work.

Exhibition Night!!!

Today, grade 5 presented their topic to the audience in the Auditorium.

I presented/explained to people about my display, my wordle, our skit, our creative piece, the process of exhibition, and what we learned through exhibition (Important!) I presented/explained to my family, Lucas' family, Sarah S' mother, George's father, Yoshikazu, Mr. Neary (I think), Ken's family, Naomi's family, and a man that I met for the first time. When people asked me questions, I answered all of it.

To summarize, wish for a good Wednesday exhibition morning!

One more day for Exhibition Night!

We have one more day for exhibition night.

Today, we organized our notes/notebooks/worksheets, and finished our display. Next, we went to the Auditorium where we are going to present tomorrow night and Wednesday morning. We brought things we are going to display (Except Computers, and materials used with computer ex, earphone). Finally, we wrote on the paper before since about 2 months ago and wrote how we organized through the exhibition. In after school, Ms. Dave checked my work, and she said OK.

To summarize, we have few events left (Exhibition, Sports day, Concert (Band and Koto), etc.), and I think this is the most important event in elementary. Also, it is the 3 month study show. Wish for a good exhibition night tomorrow, and a good exhibition day on Wednesday.

Busy Exhibition Day

Today was a busy exhibition day, because we had 2 1/2 hours of exhibition meeting.

At first, we chose what topic we are going to say in the short video for the short video in the exhibition night (April 27th, 6:30 ~ 8:30). We got different topics per class. Our class' topics were: Thinker, Reflective, Principled, Cooperation, Integrity, Caring, etc. I was doing "Principled," and I wrote when I was principled in Exhibition Meeting, and Mentor Meeting. I chose Principled because being principled means that to do the right thing, not the easy thing, and I think I did it through. After I am done writing the draft of the short sentence of principled, I showed it to Mr. Tracey. He checked about 15 seconds and said OK.

Then, we got in to table groups. I was in Mr. T Group 2. When he said "Mr. T Group 2 line - up!" I lined up with Markus, Sarah, and Shiho. Jake had to be in my group, but he was in the next group. we walked inside the office, and go inside the "Conference Room." In the conference room, Henna and Naomi were there. Henna was videotaping, and Naomi was listing what is our topic, and we need to be quiet inside since if we make noise, No. 1, the admission people will be mad, and No. 2, we cannot hear what the people was saying. When it was my turn, I spoke the speech that I wrote. The first one, I made a mistake, and the second one, somebody in my table group made a noise, so I had to do on my third one. Finally, I spoke loud and well, and I waited quietly until the last person was finished. After that, we went back into our inquiry team.

In the exhibition meeting, I edited my display because someone ruined one of my inserted voice for the presentation. But in another hand, I was happy with my work. Ms. Dave checked, and she said to ∆ (change) a little, so I changed a little. I was organizing the worksheet, and the notebook, too! My worksheets were a little messy for example, some w/s were in my journal, some w/s were in my X folder, so I organized. It is the same meaning as our central idea, "How do we organize ourselves." We also have to type the burning Q's with BOLD and Font 100. I printed only twice, because in the first time, I made one mistake, so I printed again. After that, I placed the scrap paper to the scrap paper tray. I am done.

To conclude, I had a busy X day today, and wish for a good exhibition next week.

What I did today...

Today in the Exhibition Meeting, I was doing what ms. Dave said to do...

There were three important things we need to spend most; 1. The 1st and the last page of your final draft should be covered pasted with a colored piece of paper, and laminated. 2. Action Documentation. 3. Write your burning question (research) into your "Exhibition Journal". I did the first one, not the second one because I edit the Creative Piece, and the other three people did not. I think Ms. Dave will choose/ let them figure out who is going to edit the Action Piece. I was going to do the third one, but Ms. Dave said that because I am not done with my display, (Presentation with voice on) I need to finish it. So, I edit and insert my voice in the library since it was a quiet place. I also some people in different inquiry team doing this, too. When I just finish my work, someone in my group said that we need to clean up and go for our next school subject, so I went back to Ms. Dave's classroom.

To summarize, I now memorized how to insert voice in keynote, got my work done, and the good thing is that now, my memory stick worked! Wish for a wonderful, fantastic, great, and a good exhibition.

My display (Final) and Mentor Meeting

I chose what I am going to do  for my display, and we had an Mentor Meeting today.

For my display, I am going to do a Keynote Presentation. I am separating with James which he is also doing Keynote. I got permission by Ms. Dave that if it is your comfortable way, you can do it. I am almost finish with my slides and I am going to show Ms. Dave tomorrow. I am also doing some signs and wordles so that young children would say "What is this?" and they could learn things from me. I thought a lot about these strategy.

In my mentor meeting today, I was working on my presentation. I was baking my cake (which Mr. Tracey says to our class that to do the icings later). James sometimes advised me some parts. I appreciate James for helping me. Other people were doing their own displays. I think I am almost ready for the big event, but not 100% (Of course!)

To finish, I am preparing for exhibition, and wish for a good exhibition.

Feelings about the Skit

My group Media did a Skit in Assembly time.

We showed to the audience about how Violent TV show affect children. Jae Chan was doing a narrator, James was acting a TV, Sophia was taking action as a Parent, and I was acting a child who imitate what the violent TV show did. We practiced a lot of times in the loft, in the hallway, in Ms. Dave's room, in Ms. Czubak's room and more places. Before we started our skit, I felt very nervous, because I was doing kind of like a bad actor, but after the skit, I felt very comfortable. The reason was since I think people liked the skit, and the audience was happy. I didn't memorized my part before, but now, I memorized all of my parts. After that, I went straight back to my classroom.

In conclusion, I had a great time in assembly, and wish for a best exhibition.

Today's Exhibition Meeting

Today, Pop Culture Group had a meeting, and Ms. Dave said that at the end of the day, we need to choose the display that we are going to do.

At first, I was going to do the Quiz on the poster with James, but Ms. Dave said to not do it. I felt shock at that time. Still, Ms. Dave called me, and said to make a Poster with Quotes. Also, she said that I need to research a little more to do the perspectives... The perspectives are Local Fishermen/Japanese People and Film Producers.

In the Exhibition Journal, I wrote down "Wordle", "Signs", and "Quotes on the poster".I like these combinations.

To summarize, wish for a good exhibition.

Tomorrow's Skit

For my perspective, I think our group Media will do a Skit tomorrow.

On 8:00 am, We will go to Ms. Czubak's room and do something. I think we need to tell Mr. Tracey that we are going to do a skit, so to please tell the assembly people. The date always got changed 'cause of the rain... You rain!!! So, now I feel a little frustrate.

Finally, I wish it won't rain, the skit goes well, and a fun, terrific exhibition.
